The San Diego Beach Area activities committee invites you to join us on an adventure.
Trail details:
Difficulty: Ranges from easy to moderate, with some rocky terrain and uphill sections.
Length: Varies by route; a loop is about 3.1 miles (5.1 km).
Activities: Hiking, walking, running, mountain biking (check local rules).
Scenery: River, trees, wildflowers, birds, wildlife, and views of San Miguel Mountain.
Features: Some shaded areas, river crossings (bridges may be submerged at times), and connections to other trails.
What to know before you go:
Footwear: Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes; some areas are rocky.
Clothing: Pants are recommended due to poison oak.
Gear: Bring water and bug spray; a flashlight is helpful for sunset hikes.
Amenities: Restrooms and water are not available directly on the trail; nearest facilities are in nearby parks or strip malls.
Wildlife: Keep an eye out for bats, birds, and other local fauna.
